Cowra Family History Group Inc was founded in 1983 and incorporated in 1988, by a small group of people with a mutual interest in local and family history.
Since that time it has sustained a membership between 80 and 90 annually.
The group now meets on the first Saturday of each month (except January) in the multi-purpose room of Cowra Library, Darling Street, Cowra from 2.00pm.
During 2005 the group passed the day-to-day business of the group to a Management Committee, leaving general meetings more flexible to incorporate workshops and guest speakers.
